Comments: My high score is 3,852,100 Level 101, 5082 Jewels. I would of got higher but my flat mates were on alot of drugs and I was scaring them with how Rainman good i was. I hadn't played the game for about 10 years on the gamegear. I remember never being able to get over level 20! Then I had my one and only go on the mast system version. And got the above score. Comments: Columns is way better than tetris because you can make those cool combos but tetris just has shitty lines.The Game Gear version is the best on any machine and if you don't agree you suck worse than JJ or you haven't played it.I can't remember the Master System version but it is probably as good as the Genesis version.10 out of 10 for any sega columns.

I'll make my case simple...If I am sat in on a Saturday night with nothing to do I do not want to be greeted by the terminally depressing sight of blocks going down a screen...its something about those blocks that say 'look at you, look how pathetic your life has become, you've got no friends, your girlfriend dumped you and no-one would really give a shit if you were run over by a bus'. It's funny because that would be a fitting punishment for the amateur programmers who put this shit together on their shoe-string budget...oh I am sorry, are they struggling refugees from Afghanistan or something. Did their mommy and daddy abuse them when they were little. I don't care I am glad for their suffering after the boredem they have inflicted on me with their so called game. I remember back when I was in the first year of University I used to sit playing this piece of shit on the game gear with this girl that I fancied, we would take turns to see who could get the highest score. I will be blunt again, I wanted pussy! I did not want blocks falling down the screen to destroy other blocks or bits of fruit or whatever the fuck they are. Now years later, I sit here on a Friday night, no-one calling me, nothing to do, not much money, that girl that I used to fancy is at home shagging her boyfriend, and this is what I am supposed to do... turn on my sega to watch blocks falling down the fucking screen. Wrong. From now on there is going to be no more of this shit... I have been pushed to the fucking edge and I do not need any little fuckers trying to tell me that this is a good game...I will start with the ones in the United Kingdom, If you live in London I will meet you outside the McDonalds in Hackney at 11.30am on Monday, thats right I'll be there every Monday, I work near there. so if you think you are man enough step to me mutha fucka and I will make you take that review back. OK.

Comments: Columns is one of the greatest games in all of history. This game is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than tetris. I personally like the genesis version better (because it has better graphics, sound etc.) but the master system version is really good as well - everybody should play both versions. This is simply one of the greatest games of all time. Get it now!!!!!!!!!!!!

Comments: This one is second only to Tetris as the King of Puzzlers. If you're looking for depth though, Columns has more than the previously mentioned. Instead of just lining up single, horizontal rows of blocks, you have to take colors into account when ridding yourself of rows of three or more gems in vertical, horizontal, or diagnal rows. And what's more is that, unlike is Tetris, if you score, it can cause a chain reaction, and deplete your well of more space taking gems. And I see no problem with the music either. It's not as catchy as Tetris' Russian tunes, but it serves the game well. It's a very addictive puzzler, and a nice alternative to Tetris.

Comments: One of the late, great SMS titles. As a puzzle game, Columns is second only to Tetris in terms of fun. Columns is far sperior, however, in the area of challenge. It takes a long time to master this difficult game. This version is very good, especially in two player mode. While inferior graphics and sound-wise as compared to the Genesis version, it still is a great game and a must-have SMS title.
