Comments: Honest question: how do we appraise this game from within a framework that encompasses both post-communism and Brexit?

Comments: Seems to be just some random, shitty driving/shooting game that they stuck the words "Out" and "Run" on in the hope that gullible kids would want it out of some misplaced loyalty towards the original Out Run.

Comments: Better than most racers on the the Master System...but not as good as dancing round your parents room, naked, covered in handcream and chanting satanic incantations. Trying to be a bit Chase H.Q.

Comments: A great driving game with some good graphics and music! You have to hold down forward on the D-pad to accelerate though, and considering how long the levels are, it really makes your thumb hurt. No continues either, so if you die you just get thrown straight back to the title screen. It isn't really much like the other OutRuns (OutRun, Battle OutRun, Turbo OutRun etc.) either, but it's still a neat game.

Comments: Similar to Road Rash (same programming team) but not quite as fun, on account of an unforgiving and rather random difficulty level and a total lack of continues. Being forced back to the start simply because the CPU decided not to throw any shield-ups in your way is not amusing. On the other hand, this is certainly the most impressive driving game on the SMS. The road forks, bridges, tunnels and other pseudo-3d effects make a thorough mockery of their cheesy counterparts in the earlier Out Run games, and the combat elements are actually better implemented than in the loathsome Battle Out Run or even Road Rash (where you would be better advised to ignore combat altogether - here, that is a non-option). Variety of scenery is also appealing, though the length of the levels and lack of breaks less so - levels 3-5 take about as long as a game of Out Run 1 from start to finish. Better to look at than play, but still pretty good to play.

Comments: Game is average. It's nothing like other Out Run games. You are a spy who rides different types of vehicles across Europe in pursuit of some thieves. It has racing with some shooting required. The first level is like Mach Rider for NES. It's okay, but doesn't compare to other Out Run games like the awesome original.
