Comments: Cool and original 8 bit sports title (even though it is just a mix of handball and ice hockey Much more fun than its predecessor too, as there are far more details involved. and a great player stat/shop feature to buff up your players (who actually have names! and you can sub) Defo a lot more playback on this one than Speedball 1

Comments: What about the original Speedball made someone think that a sequel would be a good idea? Fucking shit.

Comments: All current attempts to undate this gem have failed, and you know why? Speedball II on the Master System is one of the best 8-bit conversions of the Amiga classic.

Comments: I love this violent game. The way you can keep banging at the opposition until they are wasted is a bonus, as well as being able to upgrade your team. Yippe ki yay mutherfuckers!

Comments: Comparisons to the amiga version aside, the Bitmap brothers return with this sophomore installment of sporting violence. The underlying rollerball theme, the slave like purchase of players who are willingly torn apart in the ensueing violence and the futurist metallic sheen all add to the atmosphere of space age fetish and technophobe ignorance. One must consider the multiple points of scoring in the pitch which if memory serves me correctly remain intact from the original amiga version. Surely these scoring 'erogenous zones' reflect the vulnerability of the players flesh in the hard industrialist age in which each match must ultimatley reach its conclusion. One must query whether the Bitmap brothers intended the commercial success of the original gladiatorial ironic sports pastiche with its in-jokes and futurist cliches and that of the sequal which threatens to even crush itself under the weight of its uninitiated chique.

Comments: Decent graphics, but the opposition ranged from dead easy to impossible (with no middle ground). Shame, it could have been really great. But it's essentially Aussie rules football- a fight with a ball.

Comments: This game is almost based on Rollerball, that violent movie with james Kahn. The object is to throw balls into the goal area to win games just like soccer...but if your opponent has the ball beat the crap out of him to get it back. Basicly the last team standing wins and its what makes this game so bloody good!
