Comments: The greatest game ever? Yes, it is. Lightyears ahead of any other of its ilk, PS1 is by far the best RPG of it's era created. Alis's brother was bloodied by the robotcops, and you actually saw his blood, a rare thing at the time the game was created. Taking off into space in the shuttle was awesome, as was the idea that the game continued on other planets. The first-person dungeons were awesome, and quite immersive. Their diffuculty was not only that you had to make maps, but the frequent monsters that appeared in front of you to take you down. A true classic in every sense of the word, Phantasy Star 1 will forever be remembered as THE BEST R.P.G. EVER of the 80's.
