Thanks to Mike Hayes for submitting this information (Jul 8, 2002):
It was made in the UK by a company called WKK under exclusive
licence from Sega Enterprises Ltd.
This in itself is quite strange as unlike Nintendo no licensing
was required to produce components for The Master System.
The standard Sega branded box contains one IR controller and one
sensor, a second controller could be purchased separately. The
controller itself is based on the style on the Mega Drive controller,
It does not work with the mega drive or genesis consoles.
I have been told that it was also bundled with a WKK manufactured
version of the master system 2.
